To do this presentation, your team would need to create a diversity awareness toolkit, which will be marked in conjunction with the presentation.

Each team is required to use the following presentation format to help them structure their work and prepare accordingly for this assessment, using the sub-headings included as a guide to the topics that would need to be considered.

  1. Introduction

to your team and its members
The purpose of the presentation (e.g., introducing a diversity toolkit)
The case-study client organisation and what the toolkit aims to achieve
Overview of presentation structure (what will be covered, duration of the presentation, aspect that forms the key focus of the presentation)

  1. Research Approach

(whether primarily qualitative or quantitative, whether it draws of primary or secondary research data)
Target audience (who you targeted, how many people responded, their job role and career field)
Where and when you conducted the study
(What days and how many were allocated and why, when did the study end?)
Research methods (i.e., primary and secondary such as interviews, questionnaires, observations, annual, company surveys etc)

  1. Findings

These must reflect the research methods used to capture the research findings that you used to identify and create the diversity toolkit

  1. Conclusions

This is where you explain what you have learnt from the findings – what did they tell you?

  1. The diversity toolkit

Introduce the toolkit by explaining how it has been structured and why
Confirm what is contained in it (i.e., documents, models, exercises, literature etc)
Explain how it should be used
Explain why the toolkit would be suitable for the client
Confirm the beneficiaries and stakeholders
Describe the desired outcome and potential impact
Confirm the cost for producing the toolkit
Explain where necessary any contingency plans

At the end of your presentation you should ask those assessing your performance whether they have any questions. This is when you will be given feedback and the assessment mark awarded.

What your tutor will expect from you!

When assessing this presentation, your tutor will be aiming to identify how well the presentation has been coordinated. Therefore, each team would need to rehearse to ensure the presentation does not look clumsy and disorganized.

Each member of the team is expected to participate in this presentation by saying something.

Your tutor expects to receive a well-presented hard copy of your diversity toolkit and presentation slides on the day! This should be free of spelling mistakes and grammatical errors, so ensure that you check the work properly beforehand.

Your team must ensure the room where the presentation is scheduled to take place is well prepared on the day and that the equipment is working properly.

At the end of the of this team presentation the following documents (Appendix A & Appendix B) should be completed and submitted to your module leader/workshop tutor to verify team members contribution to team tasks.

Use Aerial font style to write this assessment in size 12 and 1.5 line spacing. However, your main headings and sub-headings
can be in a larger font size such as 16 for the main Headings and 14 for sub-headings. These headings should be in bold.

Adhering to the above, would mean 2000 words of text would cover seven pages of A4 paper, excluding any diagrams models etc.

This should include models and figures where needed, such as bar-charts and pie-charts and you should draw on prior
learning to help make the robust, such as Porters Five Methods, SWOT and PEST analysis. Also include page numbers.
