Assignment 2: Multilingual Mini-Unit

The purpose of this assignment is to intentionally plan centering language and students. In this assignment you will create a mini-unit (3-5 lessons) using multilingual and multicultural resources. While you can teach any skill you want, think of content that will be relevant to students and their lives.

Connecting, overarching essential questions with learning objectives for each lesson
Include language objectives 
Include opportunities for students to use home language/translanguaging
Standards that build upon each other (no more than 4 standards for the whole unit)
Encouraged to use bilingual standards
A short assessment with a corresponding rubric/checklist
It does not have an exam or a culminating essay. It should assess students about the skills you taught (in a few lessons) in an appropriate way.
Two thoughtfully chosen resources as a way to teach a skill, as well as to present the content in a responsive manner.

The resources may be bilingual already or you can choose one for each of your teaching languages.
